On to Bratislava....

On the morning of the 28th, the kids got to sleep in a little bit before checking out of their hotel.  Then we did a little shopping for souvenirs, since they hadn't been in any stores since their arrival.

The atrium of the hotel where the kids stayed the last night in Liptovsky Mikuláš.

We took the kids to a restaurant that has Slovak specialties for their last meal in L.M.
Paul photo-bombed the first picture of the girls, but this one is nice!!  :-)

At the Atlas Restaurant.

I don't think I've included a picture before of the way silverware is served at restaurants.  The correct number of utensils are placed on napkins on a plate and brought to the table after you order.  Different places set it up in unique ways!!

We got mail!!!  Our mailbox contained a pile of Christmas cards on the 28th!!  :-)
Sunset in the mountains on the way to Bratislava.

When we got to Bratislava, we went to the castle first.  I've already included many more photos of this structure in earlier blog posts, so I didn't take more pictures this time.  It always looks so beautiful at night, and the full moon was spectacular just over the center of the gates.  The views of old town and the Danube were so pretty over the back wall of the castle.  It was pretty cold though, so we didn't stay for a very long time!
After seeing the castle, we went through St. Michael's Gate and into old town to walk around and get the feel of old Bratislava.  (Again, earlier photos of Bratislava are in previous posts.)  We went to a restaurant and had a light meal before getting back in the van and heading to Vienna.  :-)   We were so grateful for the use of the Garmin from our pastor - it made it so easy to get around!!
