Back from Germany

We got back to Liptovsky Mikuláš tonight after a wonderful holiday in Germany.  It was an amazing time full of experiences that we'll remember for a lifetime.  We really need to get a good night's sleep tonight, so this will just be a very short post, and then I'll cover our trip in small chunks over the next few days for you blog readers.

Home-made Yahtzee scorecards from Sunday afternoon.  :-)
Last Monday at school the Rice Krispie treats with candy corn were a huge hit with the teachers.  I made sure to take them to the school custodian and all the secretaries because they all do such a super job, and they don't come into the teacher workroom to get in on treats like the teachers do.  We had a good teaching day, and I got my sub plans done for Tuesday morning, and then we headed out on our Martin Luther adventure.

We got quite a bit of snow here on Monday --- this is looking out
our window at the school.

Tim looking out the train window on the way to Bratislava - lots of snow!
Everything went perfectly for our trip to Bratislava, and Katie was there to meet us at the train station, holding her trademark "ELCA" sign!  :-)  We visited a little with her roommates and Rachel (who joined us for the Wittenberg trip) before going to bed.
