Busy, busy!

It's crazy how quickly our life has gotten busy here!  We were anticipating a much slower pace than back at home, but for some reason our time has been filling up a lot lately, though with all fun things.  :-)   We had asked our predecessors about the availability of English books and found a large library at the school.  We figured we'd have lots of long, free evenings and weekends to spend reading books......NOT!  :-)  Maybe in the winter we will go out less, but for now, we haven't even checked out any books yet.

Tuesday night we ate a light supper at 5:30, I had my 2 women English students at 6:00, and we headed over to school for volleyball right after that.  It was a completely different group than Friday nights - with skill levels closer to ours - we had lots of fun!

Wednesday was a beautiful day, so we did a lot of walking - first to the grocery store that's farther away and back to unload - then to the restaurant we like best for a pizza.  (English menus and great food!)

Unbelievable --- all the stores here have Christmas displays out ALREADY!!
Before Halloween, no less!!  But since they don't celebrate Halloween
or Thanksgiving, I guess Christmas is just around the corner, holiday-wise!

Today after school Tim taught his 15-year old hockey player English, and now he's with his adult businessman student.  My gals will come any minute now for their English lesson, then we'll have sandwiches for supper and do some skyping and emails later.  The English students are another way of integrating into the community, and we use the cash for going out to eat occasionally!  :-)

Great news - Paul booked the airline tickets for the four kids to come her for Christmas!!  YAY!!  And now we're checking into vehicle rental and/or train tickets once they land in Vienna.  We'll go meet them at the airport for sure.  We're SOOO excited that they're coming!!
