Pekny Pondelok

"Pekny Pondelok" was my greeting to each of our colleagues as I handed them homemade apple bars this morning.  It means, "Happy Monday!"  A couple of them said that I have it all wrong, that FRIDAY is the happy day of the week, but I told them they would already be happy on Friday, so these treats make their Monday happier......they laughed and agreed!  Most people only bring treats on their birthdays and name days, so they do think I'm a little crazy for celebrating a generic Monday.  LOL!!

The days are really getting shorter here now, and fall is definitely in the air, though it does feel mild in the sunshine during the afternoons still.  Our biggest news here is really exciting.  This weekend we found out that Paul & Alana, Beth, and Lute will ALL be able to come and spend Christmas in Slovakia with us!!  Their work schedules and Beth's P.A. rotations will all allow them to travel here, and we are absolutely thrilled!!   :-)

So we wish all of you a Pekny Pondelak too!!
