It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We are getting really excited about the kids coming to Slovakia for Christmas!!  Their arrival is less than a week away now - YAY!!!  :-)  I'm sure this week at school will absolutely fly by!

Sunday started out pretty normal - our new "normal" anyway!  Up at 7:00, depart for our walk to church at 8:35, church at 9:00, we visited with the headmistress, Janka, and her lovely family afterwards about going over to their house on the 25th, then we stopped at the little grocery store on our route home for a few items, back to the flat around 11:15, hot chai tea latte during our online sermon in English, then a light lunch.  After lunch, Tim took a Sunday afternoon nap while I baked a batch of cookies.

I took some of the cookies to school today, and more
will be ready to take to the staff party Wednesday after
school.  The Hershey kisses are a big hit here!!  :-)
Then at 5:00, Tim's English student, Marian, and his wife Susan, picked us up in their car and took us to a beautiful ski chalet/hotel/restaurant for some hot tea/coffee and conversation.  It was a fun evening visiting with them!

Susan and Marian - delightful people!!  :-)

The lobby of the chalet was really beautiful!

Today we had a busy day of teaching, and we stayed late to get caught up on entering grades in the computer.  Tonight I brought papers home to grade - I hate doing that, but I really want to eliminated stress at school, so getting some extra work done here this evening will lighten the load the rest of the week!!  Everyone is looking forward to the holiday break - student and teachers alike!!  :-)
